Previously, on Loose Lips
Rhu let the kissing comment go.
He got that a lot.
And now the conclusion

"So," he said with a dry tone. "You think you blew up the mine...and brought a wayward, deathly ill Klingon back to the Adelaide. What is it with stray Klingons?"

"Rhu, I stepped on something when I went to check out the symbol of the maquis that was inside that mine, And when I stepped close to get a closer look, I heard a click then there was a rumble from down the tunnels. I hadn't thought to check for traps. And I saw tendrils of lava coming down the tunnel, and saw something that looked like eyes staring at me. Katya thinks that it was just a hallucination from wearing the ev suits. That is not the point."

She paused for a moment when Rhu mentioned another Klingon, Amy's eyebrows raised. "Oh yes, the Klingon who brought in Major Merrick. What do you intend on doing with the extra person? Will we be dropping him off on another station?"

"That I don't know," Rhu said, scrubbing at the sides of his hair before re-smoothing it. "Jade is at least Fleet Intel. The Klingon is a problem. So was the decision to bring that problem aboard a classified Federation intel ship that's operating a borrowed cloak. The klingon is likely going to have to go on ice. Or if he causes too much of a fuss, go visit his ancestors."

"I will agree with you on him going on ice, and this Lachlan, how do you think he'll take the big guy cooling his heels in the brig? Well make that how did he take it? I've not gone and spoken to the man." Amy responded.

"Don't really care and I didn't ask either," Rhu said a trifle moodily. "The Sergeant Major doesn't have any authority aboard this ship. Especially when it comes to having breached security. If he doesn't like it, he can get out and walk."

Amy noted Rhu's moodiness. "Well, the Klingon is on ice, and this Lachlan will have to deal with it. As you said its better for him to be put there instead of being allowed to walk around freely. And I truly don't want this ship to sink due to, too many people talking about it."

"Everyone else has signed the Official Secrets Act and have the security clearance to be on Valiant during a mission like this. The Klingon...well we'll deal with that. Good work on all this Amy."

Amy gave a nod towards Rhu, "Perhaps we can get the Klingon to do the same, there is a story behind that, and we
can trust this Lachlan to gain this sort of Official Secrets Act. Or I can quiz them both."

Shaking his head he said, "The Klingon is a civilian, so the OSA doesn't apply. The Sergeant Major has already burned his bridge with me and I'm washing my hands. His, and the Klingons, fate can go to the Commodore. I don't see much use in us interrogating him. We'll get the tapes from the Pioneer in the after actions. I need you to focus on going through that info dump we pulled from the station and putting the package together for Federation Intel. There's a lot there and we need to see what hot potatoes will stand out first. Given our directives, we need to pull the most information on the Ashen Hand that we can."

Giving a firm nod towards Rhu, Amy made preparations to get back to work. "I agree we do need to get back on tracking the Ashen Hand. And I will leave Barr alone, as well as the Klingon. And thank you, Rhu for your directness."

Sighing, Rhu said, "Pushing the Sergeant Major will only irritate him, which I honestly couldn't care about. We have bigger fish to fry. And the Klingon gets to camp in the brig because it's about the only bed left on Valiant...and that's how my SOP's dictate. I get Lachlan felt honor-bound in bringing super-cargo aboard my ship. Honor is fine till it gets someone killed: then it's the rope I'll hang the good Sergeant Major by the privates with. For all we know, that Klingon was a plant stuck in the cell with Quaid: Jailhouse informer style. I can't really think of a better Gomer."

Looking at his Intel Chief, Rhu said, "Directness between you and me is pretty important, Amy. Intel is a dirty business and really only you and I know how dirty."

"This is very true." Amy responded, "And sometimes there isn't enough showers or baths to be taken, to feel clean." giving a slight smirk.

"Too true. But, I decided a long time ago to pay that price. Someone needs to...and that's us. Anything else, or should we get back to it?," Rhu asked, leaning back in his seat.

"Lets get back to it, there is much on our plate to still deal with. And thanks, for this." Amy replied.
