[PREVIOUSLY]
The marine who had been doing most of the talking so far wolf whistled and said, "Now that's what I'm talking about girlie. Take it off!!!" The marines all shuffled closer and one Bolian wearing corporal's stripes reached out to help Kat with her tunic.

She easily evaded the group. "Uh uh uh. No one said you could touch the goods." Six Marines. But they were beyond drunk, so not much of a problem. Unless they figured out how to do a coordinated attack, and she doubted they had the brain power to do anything like that right now. She easily moved into one of the fighting patterns she and Rhu practiced. "Now, boys, why don't you just go on your way and find some other toys to play with."
It wasn't hard to pick up their thoughts and intents. She deftly moved away from the more serious threat and focused on the two ready to fall over and considered the best way to help them off their feet. A roundhouse kick to the gut caught one of them off-guard and he stumbled into the second. As neither was very steady to begin with, they both went down in a tangle of arms and legs.
Rhu stepped in front of another Marine that was trying to help Kat with her clothes, tripping him by stepping past and letting his leg linger for the human to trip on. The contact caused Rhu to stumble back just slightly and he got an elbow blow to the ribs of the man. He was keeping tabs on Kat, keeping close but not too close. He sorted through the thought patterns of those around them. One of the handsier ones that was interested in him got close in, trying to touch his shoulders and he waited till he felt the contact before he said cheerfully, "No thanks bub. Preciate the intent though."
Then he planted the idea that the marine just in front of Rhu was him as he ducked and pivoted away. The marine that was intent on him stumbled just slightly as his mind played a trick and he wrapped his meaty arms around another marine, giving him a kiss on the neck after saying, "Hey fella. New to Mars?"
The now grabbed marine was confused by many things and it took time to process, which Rhu let go. It was kind of like shaking up a carbonated beverage to see how long before the top popped off.
His amorous friend had about four seconds before the object (not Rhu) of his affection turned and decked him.
That started the general free for all and shouts went up and more bodies filled the street.
Kat had been listening to Rhu as he mentally taunted and provoked the Marines. He'd explained to her about using her Betazoid abilities to pick up on what her opponent was thinking and feeling, and to an extent about to do, but this was a whole new level of psychological warfare. She liked it.
While she monitored the crowd for intent and drunken ability, she also began to nudge them telepathically. "There are too many men for just one woman. If you get rid of a few of them, your chances will increase. Besides. She's going to be worth it".
It was hard to lie telepathically. Kat pretended she was referring to another woman. Someone who was just out of sight, but still close enough to be involved. For fun, in her mind the other woman was a buxom blonde.
She fed suggestions to one or two of the men in each group, hoping to get them fighting each other and ignoring her. "Women light a big, strong man. You're better than anyone else around you."
It was working. Mostly. She needed to work on finesse, but that wound come now that she was getting the hang of it. Rhu was right. Fights like this were the best way to practice. Someone reached from behind her and grabbed her breast. She spun around and elbowed him hard, causing the man to stumble back.
She mentally nudged another Marine that this guy was taking his girl. Then she slipped away when the two men began fighting.
She sent Rhu a telepathic image of a grinning Cheshire cat.
He had to admit she was getting the hang of this. Using her mental gifts to distract.
But the point of the exercise was also to deal with multiple attacks coming from all directions at once. He teased an image of Kat possibly dropping her tunic into a few minds and called out, "She's into it, boys. Remember that movie, the History of the World, Part One. IT's THE QUEEN!!!."
He overly distracted himself and he took a hard shoulder, knocking him to one knee then was bowled over as more Marines cheered and were rushing at Kat."
"For that you owe me breakfast. In bed," Kat flashed at Rhu. Then she jumped over one Marine who decided a diving tackle was the best way to take her down. "First one through the goalposts get a touchdown!" she shouted, leading the group in front of her through a narrow alley where she hoped to either trap them or pick them off one-by-one.
Laughing, Rhu got to his feet, elbowed one scrambling marine in the throat, which tripped a couple of others. Then he was running after Kat, to make sure things didn't get too far.
Though he couldn't help himself.
~"Now there's some inuendo,"~ he sent with humor. He caught up with one marine and sent a hip shot into the woman, causing her to crash into one of the building walls and take a couple more down. Then he was within five yards of her and moved to slip into a doorway, flashing up encouragement to not-see him, but to concentrate on the naked girl.
Kat grabbed the first weapon she could find when she entered the alley. It was a 2x4. Not great, but she used it to smack one of her eater opponents in the chest. He fell back, tripping two others. That gave her a little more room to maneuver.
Without giving herself too much time to think, she grabbed the branch of a tree and climbed to a balcony. From there, she got onto the roof. Once again, she looked for something to use as a weapon. Someone left a stack of ceramic roof tiles. Kat grabbed two, went over to the edge of the roof, and threw them down, one at a time. "Sorry. Put it on my bill," she muttered, grabbing two more tiles. By the time the stack was gone, she'd taken out four Marines and knocked another six to the ground. Now it was time to move.
She took a running leap and jumped across the alley, hoping she'd have a better chance of getting down and away from here. As she did so, she sensed one of the Marines jump to grab her. Fortunately, he couldn't jump high enough, and he landed on the two coming in behind him, which started another fight.
While they were distracted, she planted an image of herself running naked in the opposite direction, carrying a bouquet of daisies and singing a love song. Only this version of herself had long, flowing black hair. She thought it was silly, so she added a hint of perfume to the thought. Yeah, she thought to herself. Mating musk. Just what rabid Marines need.
