[PREVIOUSLY]

"The best I can do is replicate some shampoo and heat the water. I don't recommend we actually strip down because if I disable the cameras the doctor will probably come back to see what we're up to." Although she could distort the image a little...

[CONTINUED]

Without waiting for Amy's response, she went back to the control panel and started making adjustments. Not wanting the water to spread to the main cargo bay, Kat put up a force field to keep the water contained until they were done, then drain off into the water reclamation tanks. Then she adjusted the temperature of the water to be warm but not hot. Then a bottle of honeysuckle shampoo appeared on the deck.

Kat turned to Amy. "Ready?"

"Oh most definitely." Amy getting to her feet, she winced slightly as one of her muscles was yelling at her, she leaned over to rub the offending muscle on the thigh, that was threatening to cramp.

"Honeysuckle shampoo. A lovely fragrance" Amy looking towards Katya smiling. "I wonder if I will be able to save the clothing or will we have to send them into the recycler."

"I have no desire to keep the clothing. I'm recycling everything but my underwear," Kat informed her. Then she promptly stripped down and tossed the rest of her clothing in to be recycled.

"I like honeysuckle. That, or vanilla." Kat checked the controls. "Rain is ready when you are."

Amy peeled out of her outer clothing, then paused. "Computer, give me a bag to put my clothing in. Zuub may want to examine to see if there are trace elements she might want to track down."

Amy looked at Katya. "Just in case there are clues as to what we had come in to contact with."

The bag sealed, and sending it to medical.

"Okay, let’s get a shower." Amy giving a smile.

After a final check, Kat turned on the sprinklers. Some were set to wash the walls, but there were several that rained down on the deck. These central ones had been modified to be just warm enough to not make them cold. She added a sound buffer to the force field. Then the music started to play. "I hope you don't mind," she said as the introduction to I Need A Hero began.

Kat spun in a circle and began to sing along as she danced over to Amy and the shampoo. She picked it up and held it like a mike for the second verse, then poured some into her hand to begin washing her hair and body. "Sorry, but it feels good to get clean." Then she grinned. "And I love music."

Hearing the swell of the music, the vocalization, Amy's eyes lit up. She grinned from ear to ear. "I love this!" giving into the music, turning around enjoying the feeling of the water cascade down her body and dancing.

She sang along, holding an invisible microphone in her hand. Her voice blending in with Katya's. When Kat was done with the shampoo, Amy plucked it out of her hand to lather herself up. "I love to get clean, and I love music as well!"

The suds becoming thick due to her vigorous soaping up, Amy decided to have a little more fun and made a beard of suds. "How do you like my jaunty beard." wriggling her chin side to side.

Kat gave it a good look and nodded. "Rumpelstiltskin would be proud." But that gave her an idea. The shampoo was adequate, but if she really wanted to get clean, she'd need industrial-strength bubbles. So, she went back to the replicator and had the computer give them a bottle of hypoallergenic soap that would give them enough bubbles to cover themselves for a proper wash.

"I think this will work to wash what we're wearing," she said. Then she moved out of the falling water and proceeded to lather up enough to make sudsy shorts and prodigious pasties so she could wash her underwear properly and replace it without being indecent--simply because there were cameras around the bay.

All her burlesque rehearsals helped her remain mostly modest--even without the feathers. She was going to excise the video from the computer as soon as she could, but she wasn't going to take any chances now.

Amy was very impressed by the soap that Katya came up with, the lather that it produced was the thickness of shaving cream. Something that would give enough coverage, for what both Kat and she needed. Her sleight of hand provided a smooth transition for removing her underwear and placing lather to cover.

Undergarments washed, Amy put them back on, just to get the rest of her rinsed, the thick coating of lather now moving down under the onslaught of the water.

"You know, I've never had an opportunity to sing and dance in the rain," Kat said, grinning impishly. "Besides, I need to let the water run until the bay is free from the soap." She moved into the center of the annex. "Computer, play Singing In the Rain sung by Gene Kelly." When it began to play, she began to do her own choreography to the music as she sang along.

Woah Katya knows Singing the Rain?!! Amy raising her eyebrows with delighted surprise, just beaming.

She joined in the dancing and the singing as well.

Amy reached out to take one of Katya's hands as part of the unrehearsed choreography, doing a spin. Then releasing Katya's hand. Flinging her hands into the air, then doing a soft shoe.

"I don't know many people who do that," Kat said. "Not outside the old movies." And not many who even watched the old movies, even on vids. But she did. She loved old musicals.

The song ended and transitioned into "It's a Perfect Relationship" from Bells Are Ringing. She began to sing along, not caring if Amy knew the song or not. "It's crazy. Ridiculous. It doesn't make sense..."

This song was funny, witty, and Amy chuckled listening to the words. She became Katya's audience for this particular piece. While the water streamed down her body traveling to the drain.

When the song ended, Kat looked over to Amy and laughed. "Sorry. That's one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite musicals. We can watch it together some time, if you're interested." She shook out her hair and ran her fingers through it. The soap was gone now. Then she looked around. It was gone from the annex as well. She turned to Amy. "Ready to turn off the water? I don't want to use too much of it."

"I would love to watch that musical." Amy shivered slightly despite the water being warm. "And I am quite ready to get dried off, and having some clothing on." A look around at where their section of the cargo bay was, their temporary prison.

"How about we order some lounge chairs and what would be appropriate for being in our temporary prison?" Amy glancing towards Katya.

"Sure. There's a replicator here. Although I'd have to put the chairs together." Kat grinned. "Won't be a problem though. That's a job for Operations anyway. Give me a minute."

She went back to the controls, turned off the water, and turned on the air to dry the room out. Then she replicated two towels, two jumpsuits in... "What color do you want to wear?" she asked.

Amy thought for a moment, "Burgundy. It is pretty and also doesn't draw as much attention."

"True." Kat gave Amy one towel and one burgundy jumpsuit. Then she replicated a towel for herself and rubbed herself down, humming Steam Heat as a distraction from the air that, while not cold, still felt a little chilly.

While she waited for her underwear to dry, she replicated parts for two chairs and spread them on the deck and began to put them together, using a toolkit from a nearby storage box. When she was done, Kat took the chairs over to Amy.

"Back in a minute," she said, going back to replicate a jumpsuit for herself in midnight blue and dressed. She then replicated two pairs of deck shoes to match the jumpsuits and two big tubs of popcorn.

She gave Amy a pair of shoes and a bucket of popcorn, then sat down to put on her own shoes. "Computer, activate Davi Movie Night." A large screen appeared in the air in front of them. "Play Bells Are Ringing from Terran Musicals."

The movie began to play on the large screen.

Moving herself around in the lounge chair getting settled, "Thank you and it’s been a long while since I've done anything like this." Happily reaching into her tub of popcorn popping a few kernels into her mouth, becoming engrossed in the movie.

"Well, if we're going to be in quarantine, we might as well enjoy ourselves," Kat replied. And it was a great way to pass the time.
