Fight Breaks out During Federation Council meeting

A fistfight broke out today between the Andorran and Tellurite delegates after news was brought to the Council that starships belonging to both members were involved in a small battle. Four Tellurite ships moved to block three Andorran ships (all supposed freighters at the beginning of the conflict) from approaching Star base twelve.

Admiral Serene Phillips, Commanding officer of StarBase twelve dispatched runabouts to break up the fight.

“I don’t know what they were thinking of,” Admiral Phillips stated. “The squabble started when we had a docking section go down for repair and had to rearrange schedules. The seven affected ships captains were very upset and began arguing amongst themselves,” reported the Admiral to this reporter. “We have the comm’s traffic and then one of the Tellarites moved to go around an Andorran ship and the Andorran fired a warning shot that… Well apparently it missed on purpose and hit the Tellarite a glancing blow.”

From released footage, it appears the freighters weren’t doing much damage to one another but an Andorran ship and two of the Tellarite ships were disabled before Star Fleet forces could intervene.

The fight on the Council floor began when remarks were made by both ambassadors and complaints filed agains Star Fleet for releasing the video and audio sensor logs to the news services. Shoving turned to blows delivered before the Council sergeants at arms were able to break up the tussle and order restored.
